Thousands trek south to Ranelagh
For the autumn Taste of Huon
At the local Huon showgrounds,
Where food is such an icon.
Many groups of friends and families,
Enjoy live music in the sun,
When lounging on a picnic rug,
Or sitting, laughing, having fun.
Different food trucks abound,
Craft stalls and beverages too,
Entice one to try and buy, or,
Maybe, looking is fine for you.
Children riding bicycles of
Odd shapes with off centre wheels
Were fun, when coordination
And balance was part of the appeal.
Much too soon the visit ended,
And homeward bound we’ll go
With a warm and restful feeling,
I call, the Taste of Huon glow!
