11 November 2022 – My birthday
Three score years and ten plus nine; how it’s flown,
Lots to remember, much to appreciate
Day by day. Family and friends I’ve known
Provide support as life I navigate.
Joy, my partner of nearly sixty years,
Through thick and thin, is my first love, my friend,
Mother or our boys, creative and sincere,
Helps steer me through potholes and tricky bends.
Sippers and Facebook friends – Your words have been
Immensely helpful in keeping me strong,
The laughs, the stories, though some faces unseen,
Have helped my being and helped me belong.
Thank you for your best wishes, support and care.
It’s nice to know I have great friends out there.
