Perfection

Perfection

Joy has gained enormous satisfaction
When, at night, free from any distraction
She sews into the early morning hours,
Embroidering pieces, for display in our
Home, our own gallery, on our own walls;
Works of perfection, . . .  enjoyed by all.

Each thread must be meticulously stitched,
Otherwise, it must be carefully unpicked,
So that the integrity of her stitching
Is maintained. Quality, bewitching
To behold, an example of perfection,
To be admired, . . . with affection!

The briar rose, stitched thread by thread, with care,
Meticulously and lovingly, to share
With a member, of her stitching group.
Joy’s ‘Secret Santa’ gift, would recoup
Many times over the pleasure derived
By making her gift, . . . very distinctive!

Joy’s Secret Santa gift to a friend
