When sun shines brightly in my courtyard garden,
When the wind blows gently through all the shrubs,
In this tranquil place, fairies, emboldened,
Dance across the fence and the many tubs,
Skipping through the plants, on the path with ease,
So light and fleet of foot, just circles of light
Flickering, choreographed just to tease,
Engendering such wonders and delight.
My imagination always pictures
Happy, dancing sprites, flitting here to there
As though just released, free, without stricture
From a story, their enchantment to share.
But what I see is just not what it seems,
Reflected, mirrored light inspired my dreams.
