As the Covid pandemic wreaks havoc
In Sydney and Melbourne. The Delta prong
Probing surrounding towns – so hard to stomach!
Residents confined at home to curtail
The spread of the virus – to stop it dead.
Businesses closed. Fewer bus and rail
To limit the deadly pandemic’s spread.
But some were free to go from state to state
Or job to job, unvaccinated – true!
A failure by those-in-charge to instate
Rules to safely protect your friends and you.
While medical staff wilt under the strain,
Political spin dominates again!
