C COVID -19, for that is its name.
D DISTANCE apart, the virus to tame
E EXHAUSTION, the toll of uncertainty
F FLATTENING the curve of possibility.
G GOVERNMENTS with fresh edicts each day
H HOME, where we’re encouraged to stay
I ISOLATION from family and friends
J JUGGLING needs as the virus descends
K KEEPING abreast as announcements are made
L LOCKDOWN, Corona’s spread to evade
M MASKS that essential services wear,
N NURSES, selfless when providing their care
O OVERWHELMED by the demands made of us
P PANDEMIC, the spread of Corona virus
Q QUARANTINE for travellers, young and old
R RESPONSE, as new cases unfold
S SURVIVAL, during this ‘strange new normal’
T TRAUMATIC, when each day is abnormal
U UNCERTAINTY with thousands not employed
V VULNERABLE; losing way of life we enjoyed
W WORRIED about how our future unfolds
X XENOPHOBIA, some are fearful we’re told
Y YEARNING for our lives to be reset
Z ZONKED, exhausted, since this virus beset
