Santa’s Dilemma

Old Santa couldn’t believe his eyes
As he sped across Tasmanian skies
The land below he didn’t recognise
Much to his surprise!

Where was this land of rugged peaks
Called Tasmania that he seeks?

An alien land was spread below
A land covered in snow
An alien land he didn’t know,
Santa nearly didn’t slow!

Rudolph checked his trusty GPS
It confirmed what Santa guessed.

It really was the southern state
With homes in which children wait
For Christmas morn to investigate
The gifts that Santa propagates.

Old Santa slowed his deer and sled
As across the night sky he sped.

In seconds he dispensed gifts to all
Some quite large, others small
And in the morning, they’d enthral
Old and young, short and tall.

Santa sped off in his sleigh
Job done in Tassie on that day!
